These alterations and additions were designed improve the practicality of the indoor and outdoor spaces on the first floor. They also make the most of the existing ocean views. The exterior has been modernised with a dark repaint and timber rainscreen, to tie into the new deck.

The first floor was originally constructed from Lockwood timber panels, which resulted in a collaborative design effort with a local Structural Engineer.
